How to Activate 100Mb Of Internet Access With #1000:00

In my previous article I did write about cheap internet browsing in town that will allow you have access to the internet for 30 days with a limitation of 100mgb.Yes with zain and etisalat offering that data plan you can enjoy internet access with ease.
In that article I only talk about it but I did not show you how to activate it to start enjoying it and this is I what I intend doing now just follow this instruction and you will be able to enjoy the cheap internet access in town.

Before you can have access to this service you must ensure that your mobile phone has been configure to browse the internet and if you have yet not configure your mobile phone which I expect to be a nokia mobile phone because it is the one suitable for this connection please do browse through this blog to find my previous article on how to configure your mobile phone to browse the internet,this will help you to configure your mobile phone and if that is done then you need to also configure your laptop or desktop as well. And if all of that is done then depending on the network operator you choose they have different way of activating their data plan and to start with is zain.

To activate zain 100mgb of #1000:00 you will load a credit of #1000:00 on your zain line then type *141*712*4# on your mobile phone and send. You will receive a message welcoming you to 100mgb data plan for 30 days. please do note that if you do not send this code and you have load #1000 on your mobile phone and you just connect like that your money will quickly be exhausted within a short time so in order not to experience this you must ensure that you activate the data plan by sending the code. To check balance of data usage just type *141*712*0# and send the balance will be sent to you immediately.
Same also apply with Etisalat you must load #1000:00 on your mobile phone and call customer care of etisalat on 200 to tell them of your intention to use their 100mgb(mega byte) of their data plan and they will activate it for you on the line you want to use. Do note that etisalat will want you to buy their USB modem and their Data sim which cost #14700:00 to get but you can use your normal sim forget about what they tell you that it will not work. It has been tested to be working just tell them to activate it for you, but if you can afford their USB modem then go for it it will serve you better. It is just that with mobile phone when you are not browsing on your laptop or desktop you can still take it to where you go and still be able to browse on your mobile phone with the same 100mgb.

How To Configure Your Mobile Phone To Browse The Internet

Have you ever wonder that some people browse on their phone and you were unable to do so because you do not know how to configure your mobile phone to browse the internet even when your mobile phone have the facility to browse the internet? well if you are in such situation I am here to help you with the manual configuration.

As you know we have different operators who provide internet service and for that reason each networks have their own configuration so I will start with MTN configuration.
MTN
On your mobile phone go to settings and locate configuration and when you open it go to personal configuration open it as well and press option to open an empty screen but which will have "add new" at the bottom of the screen. Press it and start adding the information below to the required field as shown on the screen as you move down.
Account Name: MTN WAP
Home page: wap.mtnonline.com
user name; web
Password: web
change use prefered access point to No and press access point settings and fill the field as follows:
Proxy : change to enable
Proxy address or IP: 10.199.212.2
Port: 8080
select bearer settings and input this
Packet data access point: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Network type: Ipv4
Authentication: normal
User name: web
Pasword: web
when all this is done go back to personal configuration and press option which is written as opt. then press activate. If you have done all of this then you have successfully configure you mobile phone to browse the internet.
To test weather your new settings is working go to web and press home if you see it loading then you have done it but if it give an error of subscribe to packet data then you need to go back and check the configuration and see where you have missed the step highlihted in this article.

Well as you can see I have give all the configuration and settings that you can use to configure your mobile phone to browse the internet but do note that the mobile phone I use for my illustration is a nokia mobile phone because it is easier to use for this illustration but if you are using a different mobile phone do let me to through you comment and I will provide the illustration for you.
The illustration provided for mtnset up is what should be follow for the other networks it all the same thing. and to let you know you can have all of the network provider settings on your mobile phone just follow the steps highlighted here to add new network after one another.

CHEAP INTERNET BROWSING IN TOWN

Internet service in Nigeria is becoming more flexible as the gsm operators are churning out different internet subscription plan for their subscriber.

When Mtn comes out with #500:00 for 24hours browsing one would have thought that is the best and cheapest but with the introduction of #1000:00 package with a month access by Zain it is just one of the flexible internet access for personal use.

So with #1000:00 one can have 1 month access to the internet but with the limitation of 100Mb which I still believe is a package any one could afford and use.

Also Etisalat just join zain in the provision of 100mb for #1000:00 as well making it even more flexible to choose between the internet service provider that is better and that I see as a good competition.

So if you are bothering your head on how to get access to the internet at home I think you should go for these as they are tested to be okay if you know how to manage it well.

Don't bother yourself till you have like between #15,000-20,000:00 before you can have access to the internet because it is now easy to have internet access and browse the internet with #1000:00 naira only.

The requirement to have access to the internet at home , on your laptop or desktop are as follows:
A nokia mobile phone e.g Nokia 6230, 3110c etc
A data cable or bluetooth dongle
Nokia pc suite software
And the configuration of all of this to work for you on your laptop or desktop.
